WINNIPEG, Sept. 18, 2015 /CNW/ - Winpak Ltd. (TSX:WPK) announces that at a meeting on September 17, 2015, the Company's Board of Directors declared a special dividend of $97,500,000 CAD or $1.50 CAD per share payable October 15, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 29, 2015, the 40^th anniversary of Winpak's incorporation. 

In addition, to commemorate the 40^th anniversary of the Company, Winpak's Board of Directors also approved a cash payment totaling $2,200,000 CAD or $1,000 CAD to each of the Company's 2,200 employees, who have been instrumental in the success of the organization.

Winpak Ltd. manufactures and distributes high-quality packaging materials and related packaging machines. The Company's products are used primarily for the protection of perishable foods, beverages, and in health-care applications.
