(TSX: SCP) - Sprott\n Resource Corp. ("SRC") announced today that its former subsidiary Orion Oil & Gas Ltd. ("Orion") has completed its strategic merger with WestFire Energy Ltd. ("WestFire") (TSX: WFE) pursuant to the previously announced plan of arrangement\n (the "Arrangement").  Immediately upon completion of the Arrangement, WestFire and Orion\n amalgamated under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta), continuing as WestFire Energy Ltd.\n\n\nThe requisite approvals of the shareholders of each of WestFire and\n Orion and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta in connection with the\n Arrangement were obtained earlier today.\n\n\nPursuant to the Arrangement, SRC acquired an aggregate of 13,153,936\n common shares of WestFire ("WestFire Shares") and an aggregate of 15,512,858 non-listed, non-voting convertible\n shares ("WestFire Non-Voting Shares"), which may be converted into WestFire Shares on a one for one basis\n in certain circumstances.  SRC owns nearly all of the WestFire\n Non-Voting Shares and approximately 19.5% of the WestFire Shares.\n\n\nSRC acquired the WestFire Shares and WestFire Non-Voting Shares for\n investment purposes.  Subject to the restrictions set forth in the\n Investor Agreement dated May 11, 2011 between WestFire and SRC, a copy\n of which is available on SE...
