[{"type":"text","content":"\n Wilmington Group Plc\n06 June 2007\n\n\nEmbargoed until 0700 6 June 2007\n\n \n\n Wilmington Group plc \n \n Proposed Disposal of Non-Core Assets \n\n\nThe Board of Wilmington Group plc ('Wilmington' or 'the Group') confirms that it\nhas conducted a strategic review of its business and has concluded that\nWilmington should focus on its Professional Markets business. This comprises its\nLegal & Regulatory, Healthcare and Media & Entertainment activities, which\naccounted for approximately 93% of group profits before tax in the year to June\n2006. Wilmington is therefore proposing to sell its interests in other, non-core\nmarkets.\n\nThe proposed disposal includes the Group's businesses in the Design,\nConstruction, Power, Catering, Automotive and Specialist markets. Grant Thornton\nhas been appointed to conduct the sale. The Board expects to issue a further\nstatement at the conclusion of the process.\n\nCharles Brady, Chief Executive, commented\n'Our aim remains to significantly grow the revenues and profits of the Group\norganically and by acquisition. By focussing our investment and resources the\nGroup will be better positioned to accelerate the development of training and\ninformation businesses in its core markets.
