[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n 17th May 2023\n \n \nWH Smith PLC\n \nBOARD APPOINTMENT\n \nAppointment of Colette Burke to the WH Smith Board\n \nWH Smith PLC announces that Colette Burke has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director\nwith effect from 1st July 2023.\n \nColette is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the LEGO Group, and was previously Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Bose Corporation. Colette brings significant US and retail experience from her roles at Bose Corporation and the LEGO Group.\n \nOther than as set out in this announcement there are no further disclosures required in respect of Colette Burke under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.\n \nWH Smith Chair, Annette Court, commented:\n\"We are delighted to welcome Colette on to the Board of WH Smith.
