Westport Innovations Inc. Prices Offering of Common Shares

(TSX:WPT /\n NASDAQ:WPRT) announced today the pricing of its offering of common\n shares in the United States and Canada.  Westport will offer 6,000,000\n common shares at a price of US$25.39 per share, for gross proceeds of\n US$152,340,000.  Westport has granted the underwriters of the offering\n an option to purchase an additional 900,000 common shares at the\n offering price during the period ending 30 days from the date of\n Westport's final prospectus supplement filed in connection with the\n offering.  If the option is exercised in full, gross proceeds of the\n offering will be US$175,191,000.\n\n\nMorgan Stanley, Jefferies and Deutsche Bank Securities are the joint\n bookrunners for the offering.  Other underwriters include RBC Capital\n Markets, Lake Street Capital Markets and Craig-Hallum Capital Group. \n The common shares issued under the offering will be listed on The\n NASDAQ Global Select Market.  Westport has applied to the Toronto Stock\n Exchange for the additional listing of the common shares issued under\n the offering, which listing will be subject to fulfillment of all of\n the listing requirements of the exchange.  The offering is expected to\n close on or about October, 1, 2013, subject to customary conditions.\n\n\nThe offering is being made only by means of Westport's final prospectus\n supplement and accompanying short form base shelf prospectus.  Copies\n of the United States final prospectus supplement, when available, may\n be obtained from: Morgan Stanley & Co.
