(TSX: WPRT) (Nasdaq: WPRT), a leading supplier of advanced alternative fuel systems and components for the global transportation industry, announced today that\n \n David Johnson\n \n , Chief Executive Officer has decided to step down as chief executive officer and will resign from the Board, effective immediately.\n \n Tony Guglielmin\n \n , who serves on the\n \n Westport\n \n Board and as Chair of the Audit Committee, will act as interim CEO until such time that a replacement is identified.\n \n Bill Larkin\n \n , our chief financial officer and\n \n Lance Follett\n \n , our chief legal officer will both be taking on expanded roles during the transition period.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Mr. Johnson joined\n \n Westport\n \n in 2019 and during his tenure was charged with advancing the strategic focus of the company, including expansion of alternative fuel usage in transportation, including hydrogen.
