(TSX:WPT /\n NASDAQ:WPRT), the global leader in natural gas engines, today announced\n that it has acquired BAF Technologies, Inc. (BAF) and its subsidiary,\n ServoTech Engineering, Inc. (ServoTech), subsidiaries of Clean Energy\n Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ:CLNE) for $25 million in Westport stock. Westport\n and Clean Energy also announced a $5 million joint marketing and sales\n program.\n\n\nWestport believes that the amalgamation will create the largest product\n portfolio and largest market presence in the North American light duty\n natural gas vehicle (NGV) space. Specifically, Westport secures its\n position as Ford's largest partner under the Qualified Vehicle Modifier\n (QVM) program with over 10 products and approximately 150 Ford\n authorized dealerships. The transaction allows both Westport and Clean\n Energy to focus on the significant growth opportunities as natural gas\n emerges as a global fuel for transportation.\n\n\n\"We welcome the BAF and ServoTech teams to Westport,\" said Ian Scott,\n Executive Vice President of Westport. \"BAF has established a strong\n portfolio of natural gas vehicle products and customers over the past\n decade.
