Cummins Westport Receives SAFE Advanced Technology Energy Security Prize

We\n appreciate the recognition of SAFE, and the honor of being one of the\n first recipients of this award.\"\n\n\nThe Securing America's Future Energy prize is designed to recognize\n emerging and advanced technologies which have the ability to\n significantly reduce America's dependence on petroleum-based fuels. \n The prize is designed to both recognize and reward innovators who are\n helping to find alternatives to oil dependence.\n\n\nCummins Westport is being recognized for its groundbreaking\n spark-ignited natural gas engine technology that has been adopted by\n leading transit agencies, waste management companies and truck fleets. \n Cummins Westport engines use 100% compressed, liquefied or renewable\n natural gas, which is primarily a domestically sourced fuel in the\n United States.\n\n\n\"Companies like Cummins Westport have shown that it can be done, and\n that what's good for energy security is also good for business.
