Windstorm Resources Inc. (TSX-V: WSR, FRA: 4WE (WKN: A1H700), "Windstorm" or the "Company") announces that, as a result of a review by the British Columbia Securities Commission, the Company is issuing the following to clarify our disclosure. The Company has filed on SEDAR amended and restated audited annual financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2011 to amend disclosure in the Independent Auditor's Report ("auditor's report").
The Company has coordinated with its auditors and they have amended the auditor's report to refer to the February 1, 2010 statement of financial position, fulfilling the requirement that the Company's first IFRS financial statements including the opening IFRS statement of financial position at the date of transition to IFRS (February 1, 2010) be audited; and, which also fulfills paragraph 15 of Canadian Auditing Standard (CAS) 710 - Comparative Information - Corresponding Figures and Comparative Financial Statements for the auditor's opinion to refer to each period for which financial statements are presented and on which an audit opinion is expressed.
The auditor's report was further amended to cover the consolidated schedules of mineral property interests and exploration expenditures. This amendment fulfills paragraph 23 of CAS 715 Forming an Opinion and Reporting on the Financial Statements.
All other information contained in the originally filed audited consolidated annual financial statements remains unchanged.
