(TSX-V: WSR, FRA: 4WE, WKN: A1H700, \"Windstorm\" or the \"Company\") announces the completion of the Phase 1 drill program at its Caldera high sulphidation epithermal gold project near the town of Libres, Puebla, Mexico, 10 km from Almaden Minerals Ltd.'s (TSX:AMM) (AMEX:AAU) (TSX-V: AMM, \"Almaden\") new Ixtaca Zone discovery on its Tuligtic property. The program included 2,896 metres of diamond drilling in eleven holes, testing the northern part of the Caldera alteration zone. The drilling has encountered hydrothermally altered felsic and intermediate to mafic volcanics and associated pyroclastic volcanic rocks and subvolcanic intrusives. The succession is believed to be late Tertiary in age. The rocks, which consist predominantly of feldspar porphyry and related breccias, are variably altered with sections of intense argillic and advanced argillic alteration and silicification, including vuggy silica. Mineralization consists of disseminated and fracture controlled pyrite, locally in excess of 10%. Traces of sphalerite and jamesonite (antimony sulfosalt) were noted. All core was split and assayed. Analytical results indicated that anomalous but sub-economic concentrations of gold were encountered in some of the drill holes with associated variably anomalous values of molybdenum, arsenic, antimony copper, lead and zinc.Windstorm President Gerry Carlson stated, \"This is a very large zone of alteration and from the small portion that we have explored, the alteration assemblages and geochemical responses are consistent with the Company's high sulphidation epithermal gold deposit model. We will be reviewing the geochemical and alteration patterns exhibited in our drilling, relative to surface geology and geophysical profiles, to evaluate our next exploration steps.\"The Company presently has $2.7 million in the treasury and recently acquired La Escondida property in Mexico (see Windstorm's Press release dated June 6th, 2011). It is located along a 300 km structural corridor that includes known mineral deposits such as Peñasquito (~18 million oz. Au)1, Camino Rojo (~3.5 million oz. Au)2, Charcas (major Ag, Pb, Zn district) and Cerro San Pedro (~2.1 million oz. Au3 plus significant historical pr...
