(the “Company” or “WNEB”) (NasdaqGS: WNEB), the holding company for Westfield Bank (the “Bank”), announced today the unaudited results of operations for the three and six months ended June 30, 2024. For the three months ended June 30, 2024, the Company reported net income of $3.5 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, compared to net income of $2.8 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, for the three months ended June 30, 2023. On a linked quarter basis, net income was $3.5 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, as compared to net income of $3.0 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, for the three months ended March 31, 2024. For the six months ended June 30, 2024, net income was $6.5 million, or $0.31 per diluted share, compared to net income of $8.1 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, for the six months ended June 30, 2023. The Company also announced that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.07 per share on the Company’s common stock. The dividend will be payable on or about August 21, 2024 to shareholders of record on August 7, 2024. James C. Our quarterly financial performance has been largely impacted by higher funding costs in response to the sustained increase in interest rates over the last 18-24 months.
