(TSX: WEF) (\"Western\" or the \"Company\") announced today that it has completed the sale of certain properties, including the Somass sawmill site, to the\n \n City of Port Alberni\n \n for\n \n $5.3 million\n \n .\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \"We are pleased to have worked in collaboration with the\n \n City of Port Alberni\n \n to reach a negotiated agreement that will support their long-term strategic plan,\" said\n \n Don Demens\n \n , President and Chief Executive Officer.\n \n \n With the completion of the sale, the Company has announced the permanent closure of its Somass sawmill.
