Western will\ngenerally review operating initiatives currently underway including progress\nwith the integration of the former Cascadia Forest Products Ltd. operations\nthat were acquired and amalgamated with Western on May 1, 2006 and the\nEnglewood Logging Division operations that were acquired in March, 2006. These\ninitiatives include staff reductions of approximately 15%, timberlands\nreorganization and some of the integration activities underway to achieve the\nestimated $71 million in annual synergies.\n\nWestern Forest Products\nWestern is an integrated Canadian forest products company. Principal\nactivities conducted by Western and its subsidiaries include timber\nharvesting, reforestation, sawmilling logs into lumber and wood chips, and\nvalue-added remanufacturing. Substantially all of Western's logging is\nconducted on government owned timberlands in British Columbia. All of\nWestern's operations, employees and corporate facilities are located in the\ncoastal region of British Columbia while its products are sold in over\n20 countries worldwide.
