SASKATOON, Dec. 10 /CNW/ - Maurice (Moe) F. Lindsay, President of Wescan Goldfields Inc. ("Wescan" or the "Company") is pleased to announce on behalf of the Board of Directors, that Ms. Kirsten Marcia, B.Sc., P.Geo., has been appointed as Vice President Exploration effective December 11th 2007.
Prior to joining Wescan, Ms. Marcia spent seven years working as a geologist with Shore Gold Inc. exploring for diamonds in Saskatchewan, and most recently as the Director of Investor Relations for Vena Resources. Ms. Marcia has also explored for gold and base metals in Northern Saskatchewan for Claude Resources, and oil and gas in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and a Professional Geoscientist, registered in the Province of Saskatchewan.
