(\"Wescan\") is pleased to announce that it has appointed two new\ndirectors: Mr. Gary Billingsley and Ms. Val Michasiw. The appointments are\nsubject to review and approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.\nMr. Billingsley has a BSc. Advanced degree in Geology from the University\nof Saskatchewan. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the\nInstitute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan; a Professional Engineer\nand a Professional Geoscientist and a member of the Association of\nProfessional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan; and a Fellow of the\nGeological Association of Canada.\nFor the last five years, Mr. Billingsley has been a director and an\nofficer of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., a TSX-V listed company, and\ncurrently serves as President. Mr. Billingsley was also a director of Shore\nGold Inc. from June 1995 to October 2000, and a Vice President of Shore Gold\nInc. from September 1996 to October 2000. Mr. Billingsley has worked in the\nmining industry for the past 35 years, including 28 years in Saskatchewan.\nMs. Michasiw is the Corporate Secretary-Treasurer of Claude Resources\nInc., a publicly traded gold and oil and gas corporation whose shares are\nlisted on the TSX and AMEX, a position which she has held since March, 2000.\nMs. Michasiw has been with Claude Resources Inc. since 1984 working in the\nareas of Investor Relations and Corporate Development.\nThe Board of Directors also announces the resignations of Mr. Len Saleken\nand Mr. Michael Carr and would like to thank both for their contributions to\nthe Company since shortly after its incorporation and wish them both well in\ntheir respective future endeavors.\n\nWescan is a Canadian-based corporation engaged in the acquisition,\nexploration and development of mineral properties.
