CALGARY, March 13 /CNW/ - Blackpool Exploration Ltd. has drilled two wells at Pouce Coupe on the Peace River Arch in northwestern Alberta. The first well was drilled and flow tested at a stabilized gas rate of 750 mcfd from a sandstone reservoir in the Triassic age Halfway Formation. Blackpool's working interest in this well is 20%. The second well was drilled approximately 1.5 miles to the southeast of the first and was flow tested at a stabilized gas rate of 2.1 million cubic feet per day from sandstone within the Halfway Formation. Blackpool's working interest in the second well is 12.8%. Both wells should be tied into a gas gathering and processing system and commence production by April 15, 2007.
BOEs may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. A BOE conversion ratio of 6 mcf: 1bbl is based on an energy equivalency conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value equivalency at the wellhead.
