About this update from Wescan Energy Corp.
[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, March 15 /CNW/ - Blackpool Exploration Ltd. (BPX.A: TSX Venture\nExchange) will participate for it's 25% working interest in the drilling of a\ntest well at Pouce Coupe South on the Peace River Arch in northwestern\nAlberta. This well will evaluate the potential of dolomitic reservoir rock in\nthe Baldonnel Formation at a depth of 1,750 metres. The test well location is\ndefined with three dimensional seismic and is up dip from a well which flowed\nnatural gas at a rate of 1.7 million cubic feet per day when drill stem tested\nover an interval including the Baldonnel Formation. The test well should be\ndrilled by the end of March 2007. Offsetting Baldonnel gas wells have\ncommenced production at maximum rates of 1.0 million cubic feet per day with\nindicated cumulative total production volumes to 1.5 billion cubic feet based\non decline analysis.\n\n\nBOEs may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. A BOE\nconversion ratio of 6 mcf: 1bbl is based on an energy equivalency conversion\nmethod primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value\nequivalency at the wellhead.\n\n\nThe TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy\n\n\nor accuracy of this release.\n\n\n","length":1290,"tagName":"div"}]
