[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, May 17 /CNW/ - Blackpool Exploration Ltd. has acquired a working\ninterest of 26.6% in 960 acres of Petroleum and Natural Gas Rights in the\nWorsley area of northwestern Alberta. These lands directly offset the up dip\nedge of the Worsley Charlie Lake "B" Oil Pool which has yielded cumulative\nvolumes of 5.5 million barrels of oil and 15.4 billion cubic feet of gas. A\nwell on the lands exhibits mechanical log parameters which compare favourably\nwith those of offsetting productive oil wells and has been interpreted as\nbypassed pay by the Company's third party engineering evaluators. The nearest\noil productive well, approximately 350 metres to the west of Blackpool's\nlands, currently produces 44 barrels per day of light gravity oil with\n45 thousand cubic feet of natural gas, from a depth of only 1,250 metres. An\ninitial successful oil well on these lands could support two additional\ndevelopment locations. In addition, gas potential exists in another well on\nthe lands which was drill stem tested at a rate of more than 1.5 million cubic\nfeet per day from the Baldonnel Formation.
