[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 4954E Vp PLC 29 September 2008 \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPress Release\n\n\n29 September 2008\n\n\n\n\n\nVp plc\n('Vp' or 'the Group')\n\nAppointment of Non-Executive Director\n\nVp plc, the equipment rental specialist, today announces the appointment of Mr. Stephen Rogers as a Non-Executive Director of the Group to take effect from 1 October 2008. \n\nAfter reading Mechanical Engineering at Nottingham University, Stephen qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Price Waterhouse), becoming an Audit Partner in 1986. He served in a wide variety of roles, including audit, accounting and financial advisory services to UK and overseas clients until his retirement as a Senior Partner in 2007. \n\nStephen is a Non-Executive Director of Heywood Williams Group PLC and a trustee of the Leeds Community Foundation. There are no other disclosures required under listing rule LR9.6.13 other than the above.\n\nMr. Barrie Cottingham, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since 1996, will not be seeking re-election at the Annual General Meeting in 2009.\n\nJeremy Pilkington, Chairman of Vp, said: 'I am delighted to welcome Stephen to Vp.
