(Amex: VGZ; TSX) is pleased to\nannounce that it has completed the acquisition of interests in various mineral\nproperties adjacent to Vista's Guadalupe de los Reyes Project in Sinaloa,\nMexico, as previously announced on December 19, 2007. This acquisition has\nthe effect of consolidating Vista's land position in this area. The\nconsideration paid by Vista for the acquisition of these interests included\ncash payments totaling US$451,821 and the issuance of a total of 213,503\ncommon shares of Vista, to various parties. Additional information regarding\nthis transaction and the properties acquired by Vista is set out in Vista's\nDecember 19, 2007 press release.\n\n\nAbout Vista Gold Corp.\n\n\nSince 2001, Vista has acquired a number of gold projects with the\nexpectation that higher gold prices would significantly increase their value.\nVista has recently completed a preliminary feasibility study on the Paredones\nAmarillos Project in Mexico that indicated positive results at gold prices\nlower than those now prevailing. Vista plans to confirm these results with\ndefinitive feasibility studies in 2008. Vista is undertaking programs to\nadvance the Paredones Amarillos Project, including the purchase of long\ndelivery equipment items, so that construction can begin during the second\nhalf of 2008. The results of a preliminary assessment completed in 2007 on the\nMt. Todd Project in Australia were encouraging and additional technical\nstudies are underway with a definitive feasibility study planned for\ncompletion by mid-2009.
