[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nDENVER, Feb. 27, 2012 /CNW/ -Vista Gold Corp. (TSX & NYSE Amex Equities: VGZ) (\"Vista\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to announce additional results for the drilling program currently in progress at its Guadalupe de los Reyes gold-silver project in Sinaloa, Mexico. Drilling with one drill resumed on January 10, 2012 and a second drill began drilling on January 23, 2012.\nAssays have been received from three holes; two from the Guadalupe vein and one from the El Zapote vein. The intercepts from the Guadalupe vein confirm our hypothesis that there is potential for high grade gold-silver mineralization in the district. Based on the depth of historical underground workings, it is estimated that the intercepts in the Guadalupe vein are a couple hundred meters above the base of the productive zone. Neither drill hole from the Guadalupe vein reached the planned target depth due to difficult drilling conditions, though, assay results from 12GV-02 indicated strong mineralization at the bottom of the hole.\nThe results from the first hole in the El Zapote vein are encouraging and confirm the presence of near surface stockwork veining previously defined by reverse circulation drilling.\nThe results are summarized in the following table. The equivalent gold grade (Au equiv) was calculated using a metal price ratio of 60:1; 60 g Ag equals 1 g AuEq.\n\nDrill\n\n\n \n\n\nINTERVAL\n\n\nINCLUDING\n\n\nComposite\n\n\nThickness\n\n\nAu\n\n\nAg\n\n\nAuEq\n\n\nHole\n\n\nTarget Zone\n\n\nFrom\n\n\nTo\n\n\nFrom\n\n\nTo\n\n\n (g/t)\n\n\n(m)\n\n\ng/t\n\n\ng/t\n\n\ng/t\n\n\n11GV-01\n\n\nGuadalupe Vein Zone\n\n\n55.0\n\n\n57.0\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n2.0\n\n\n2.0\n\n\n14.9\n\n\n460\n\n\n22.6\n\n\n12GV-02\n\n\nGuadalupe Vein Zone\n\n\n236.3\n\n\n245.2\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n1.0\n\n\n8.9\n\n\n7.79\n\n\n477\n\n\n15.7\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n239.9\n\n\n245.2\n\n\n4.0\n\n\n5.3\n\n\n12.15\n\n\n738\n\n\n24.5\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n289.8\n\n\n294.7\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n1.0\n\n\n4.9\n\n\n0.92\n\n\n115\n\n\n2.8\n\n\n12ZAP-01\n\n\nEl Zapote\n\n\n0\n\n\n7.1\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n0.4\n\n\n7.1\n\n\n0.54\n\n\n18.1\n\n\n0.84\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n27.0\n\n\n29.0\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n0.4\n\n\n2.0\n\n\n1.63\n\n\n26.4\n\n\n2.07\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n37.0\n\n\n38.7\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n0.4\n\n\n1.7\n\n\n8.47\n\n\n31.5\n\n\n8.99\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n43.1\n\n\n58.1\n\n\n \n\n\n \n...
