[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, June 17 /CNW/ - Red Pine Exploration Inc. ("Red Pine" or the\n"Company") (TSX VENTURE:RPX) announces that preliminary magnetic, VTEM and\nradiometric airborne survey data have been received from Geotech Ltd. for Red\nPine's Abitibi-West Property located in the Central Swayze Greenstone Belt,\nsouthwest of Timmins, Ontario. The 925 line-kilometre airborne geophysical\nsurvey was flown over three AEM blocks - the Denyes-Swayze Block, the Dore\nBlock and the Heenan Block. These three areas were defined within the\nAbitibi-West Property to be surveyed as an enhancement in following up\npositive results generated by Red Pine's initial 2007 exploration program and\nnumerous published OGS geochemical and geological surveys.\n\n\nNumerous Anomalies Identified on all Blocks Flown\n\n\nNumerous VTEM and radiometric anomalies resulted from the recent surveys\non all three blocks flown; many of them associated with favorable geology\nsimilar to gold-bearing horizons in both the Porcupine and Kirkland Lake Gold\nCamps. Preliminary interpretation of the high-resolution magnetic data has\ndefined several prospective geological structures that are coincident with\nradiometric and VTEM anomalies and are also highly prospective for gold.\n\n\nThis high-resolution airborne geophysical survey has provided to-date\ninvaluable structural and lithological information regarding the underlying\ngeology of the Property. This new survey data, in conjunction with available\ngeological and geophysical information, will be the focus of continued\ninterpretation that will direct the upcoming exploration program.\n\n\nNext Steps\n\n\nRed Pine will commence reconnaissance investigation of highly prospective\nairborne geophysical anomalies beginning June 22, 2009.\n\n\nEncouraging results from Red Pine's Abitibi-West Project will be\navailable as the program evolves. Positive results will be followed up with\nmechanical trenching and channel sampling.\n\n\nSoil Geochemical Surveying\n\n\nUpon airborne survey completion and after consideration of survey\nresults, Red Pine will carry out soil geochemical surveys over prospective\nparts of the Abitibi-West Property. Current sampling techniques will be\nimplemented in an effort to define potential target areas that will be subject\nto further geological investigation and evaluati...
