("VIQ", "VIQ Solutions"\nor the "Corporation") (TSX Venture: VQS) announced today that the Corporation\nhas been selected by Nortel Government Solutions(x), a U.S. company wholly owned\nby Nortel(x) (NYSE/TSX: NT), to provide Digital Recording software for the\nUnited States Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review\n("EOIR"). In September 2004, Nortel Government Solutions was awarded the\ncontract for the project, known as eWorld, to build a new system for\nstreamlining the immigration review appeals process.\n\n\nThe project calls for VIQ to provide a complete digital audio recording\nsolution for approximately 375 EOIR fixed and portable locations across the\nUnited States. Higdon Inc., a long-standing, value-added reseller of the\nCorporation, will provide on-going support as required. A pilot for this\nproject is currently underway.\n\n\nTo provide the digital audio recording and management service, VIQ's\nEncompass product and enterprise-level CourtFLOW solution will be implemented\nin EOIR courtrooms. Also key to the project is the ICM Tool, a proprietary\nutility that interfaces third-party case management systems to the Encompass\nand CourtFLOW solutions. The VIQ suite will provide EOIR with a fully\nintegrated digital recording solution to replace their antiquated tape-based\nrecording machines.\n\n\n"A reliable and secure database with case management connectivity is\ncritical for this project," said Roy Carter, Sector President of Enterprise\nApplications and Support Sector at Nortel Government Solutions.
