[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\nTORONTO, Sept. 15, 2014 /CNW/ - Verde Potash (TSX: \"NPK\") (\"Verde\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to announce the\n Company's participation in Brazil's largest international coffee trade\n fair, part of the International Coffee Week being held in Belo\n Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais State, from September 15th-18th, 2014. The fair attracts a variety of experts in the coffee sector to\n whom Verde will showcase ThermoPotash (\"TK\"), a premium fertilizer, as\n well as host meetings with large corporate coffee producers.\n Furthermore, as part of the fair's technical segment, Eduardo\n Spolidorio, PhD, will present the agronomic merits of TK versus other\n potash sources as they apply to coffee production focusing on TK's\n capability of increasing coffee production, profitability and\n sustainability. Mr. Spolidorio's presentation will take place on\n September 18th between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.\n\n\nMr. Spolidorio, commented, \"This is a unique opportunity for Verde to\n increase awareness of its innovative fertilizer. Coffee growers benefit\n by improving the quality of coffee up to specialty standards,\n correcting soil acidity without releasing carbon dioxide, and reducing\n the dosage of potash and phosphate used by farmers.\"\n\n\nThe International Coffee Week is a convention that brings together\n national and international experts in the coffee sector. The fair\n attracts a variety of coffee professionals, such as growers, roasters,\n classifiers, exporters, buyers, suppliers, employers, baristas, coffee\n shop owners and lovers from all over the world (http://semanainternacionaldocafe.com.br/en/).\n\n\nCoffee consumes more than 30% of the potash used in Minas Gerais and\n will be one of Verde's key markets for TK. Tests undertaken by the\n Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais (EPAMIG) (results of\n which were published in a press release on March 11, 2014),\n demonstrated that TK is approximately three times more efficient than\n potassium chloride (KCl) when applied to coffee farms.\n\n\nPresident & CEO, Cristiano Veloso, commented, \"Minas Gerais State, the\n largest coffee producing state of Brazil and where Verde's deposit is\n located, accounts for about 20% of all coffee grown in the world.
