He is also a\nFull Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is\ncurrently an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Cardiology\nand has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr.\nLeong-Poi has served on multiple grant review panels, such as the\nCancerCare Manitoba Foundation, Swiss National Science Foundation,\nCanadian Foundation for Innovation, and others. He is a member of the\nInstitute of Medical Sciences, Canadian Society of Echocardiography,\nCanadian Cardiovascular Society, and other notable associations. Dr.\nLeong-Poi has received numerous international awards, including the\n2017 Feigenbaum Lecturer, recipient of the 2005 William W. Parmley\nYoung Author Achievement Award, and 1st prize for the Research Award\nCompetition for the American Society of Echocardiography.\n \n \n \n \n Dr. Leong-Poi’s clinical research interests focus on\ncardiac imaging, specifically echocardiography, in coronary artery\ndisease, heart failure and valvular heart disease.
