This is the first time in\nthe Company's history, a system has become operational without an\ninstallation team going to the hospital to integrate it into\nhospital's infrastructure. It is also the first VMS+3.0 unit which\nhas been placed in Europe.\n \n \n \n \n \"We have spent many months on a\nkey initiative of adapting the VMS+3.0 to be an out-of-the-box product\nwith immediate activation and minimal customer requirements to lower\nthe barrier for adoption and accelerate the sales cycle,\" stated\nDr. George Adams, CEO and Executive Chairman of Ventripoint. \"The\ninstallation went smoothly and only took a couple of hours with\nminimal hospital assistance.\"\n \n \n \n \n A key modification of the\nVMS+3.0 was to make it self-contained system to eliminate need for\ninternet connection and improve security.\n \n \n Healthcare providers are becoming more and\nmore concerned about internet connections and cybersecurity. The\nprevious model had a centralized server, which received the data\n(coordinates of the anatomical landmarks) over the internet and\nperformed the analysis and sent back the result. This model was\nbecoming a significant barrier to adoption in this era of heightened\ncyber-risks. Accordingly, the Company elected to encrypt the\ncatalogues and analysis software into the VMS+3.0. This change\n \n \n allowed the\ndevices to be self-contained and function completely inside the\nhospital\n \n \n using the internal PACS\n(archive) to store and retrieve echocardiograms and the resultant\nanalysis. This change has reduced the time to have the IT departments\napprove the purchase of the VMS+3.0 as well as greatly simplified the\ninstallation procedure, such that it can now be done remotely with\nlittle assistance from the hospital staff...
