(\"Velan\" or the \"Company\") (TSX: VLN) announced today that Mr.\n \n Bruno Carbonaro\n \n has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors. The outgoing Director,\n \n Yves Leduc\n \n , will continue to serve as special advisor to the Chairman of the company. Mr. Carbonaro, who joined the Company in 2019, has recently succeeded\n \n Yves Leduc\n \n as President and CEO. He has extensive experience in the engineered products industry, having worked in senior leadership positions at various companies.\n \n \n Ms.\n \n Suzanne Blanchet\n \n , appointed to the Board last July, has been appointed Chair of the Audit Committee, a position previously held by\n \n William Sheffield\n \n . Ms. Blanchet is also member of the Corporate Governance and Human Resources Committee.\n \n \n \n James Mannebach\n \n , Chairman of the Corporation stated, \"These changes are part of the ongoing board renewal process.
