("Vecima") (TSX:VCM), a\nleading provider of equipment supporting broadband access to cable, wireless\nand telephony networks, today announced it has signed an agreement with\nTelebec, a member of the Bell Aliant Regional Communications group, to supply\nBroadband Wireless Internet (BWIN(TM)) base stations and customer premise\nequipment. This equipment uses existing cable infrastructure to support rural\nsubscribers with high speed data and voice services over a wireless network.\nVecima designed the Remote Rural Broadband System (RRBS) to specifically meet\nTelebec's needs throughout the Quebec region using radio spectrum recently\nmade available by Industry Canada.
