The company has made this strategic decision as\na result of its rapid growth and increased requirements for high performance\nembedded software design. The 8,000 square foot facility immediately adds\nabout 10 personnel to Vecima's growing software research and development team.\nVecima expects the new facility to increase its staffing to approximately\n50 personnel within a few months while continuing to build upon its base of\nsoftware development engineers in Saskatoon. The company now employs over\n670 people, the vast majority of whom are based in Saskatoon, including\napproximately 140 research and development staff.\n\n\n"The new software facility in India will immediately add critical\nresources to further Vecima's in-house software development capabilities,"\nsaid Dr. Surinder Kumar, Vecima's Chairman and CEO.
