("Uranium One") is pleased to announce the production of the\nfirst ADU (ammonium diuranate) whilst commissioning the solvent extraction\ncircuit at its Dominion Reefs Uranium Mine near Klerksdorp, South Africa. This\nfollows the processing of underground ore through the previously commissioned\natmospheric leach circuit.\n\n\nADU is a slurry which contains uranium and after a process known as\ncalcining, results in the final saleable product of U(3)O(8). In line with the\nproduction build up it is expected that within two months sufficient\nquantities of ADU will have been produced at Dominion and transported to\nNufcor's facilities for calcining, yellowcake production and delivery to the\nmarket.\n\n\nThe pressure leach circuit utilizing the first autoclave is being\nprepared for commissioning and will enable the Dominion Mill to achieve higher\nextraction recoveries at a throughput of up to 100,000 tonnes per month. The\ncommissioning of the second autoclave, scheduled for August 2007, will ensure\nthat these higher recoveries can be obtained up to a throughput of 200,000\ntonnes per month. The Dominion Mill will continue to ramp up production,\nprocessing mined ore from the three decline shafts and supplementing this with\nmaterial from the Dominion tailings resource.\n\n\nUranium One President and CEO Neal Froneman commented:\n\n\n"We are delighted to have produced our first ADU at Dominion, and through\nour partnership with Nufcor, we will soon be in a position to deliver a\nsaleable yellowcake product from Dominion to the market.
