(TSX-V: VRB) (FSE: NWNA) (OTC: VRBFF) (\"VanadiumCorp\"\nor the \"Company\")\n \n \n is pleased to\nannounce the Government of India, Patent Office, issued the Grant of\nPatent (Number: 517528) for the hydrometallurgical processes for\nrecovering vanadium and iron values from vanadiferous titanomagnetite\nand vanadiferous feedstocks.\n \n \n \n \n The patent is for the Vanadiumcorp-Electrochem Process\nTechnology (\"VEPT\"), invented by the prominent\nelectrochemist Dr. Francois Cardarelli and now 100% owned by\nVanadiumcorp. The term of the patent runs for twenty years from\nFebruary 21, 2018. VEPT is now patented in the U.S.A., South Africa,\nAustralia, and India. Patent applications are pending in the EU and\nCanada only. Additionally, VanadiumCorp has filed a Continuation\nPatent in the U.S.A. that contains broader claims. All the granted\npatents and pending applications are current and fully up to\ndate.\n \n \n \n \n Paul McGuigan, P. Geo., CEO of the Company, stated:\n \n \n \n \n \"We are pleased to be granted a\npatent for our VEPT process lately in Australia and now India.\nAustralia is endowed with rich vanadium mineral resources and robust\nmine development activity. India has significant vanadiferous\nfeedstocks, such as refinery wastes and fly-ash. With these two\nadditions to our patent-protected sphere, VanadiumCorp can protect its\ndeveloping know-how in extracting vanadium from primary mineral\nconcentrates, fly ash and the slags from electric arc\nfurnaces.\"\n \n \n \n \n The VEPT process consists of digesting vanadiferous\ntitanomagnetite magnetite and other feedstocks into concentrated\nsulfuric acid to minimize energy consumption significantly compared to\nconventional pyrometallurgical processes for vanadium. After reducing\nthe pregnant solution electrochemically, the VEPT process recovers\nferrous sulfate heptahydrate (\"Copperas\"), titanium\nhydrolysate and vanadyl sulfate. Vanadyl sulphate is a precursor for\npreparing the vanadium electrolytes used in vana...
