Investors should not subscribe for or purchase any transferable securities referred to in this announcement except on the basis of information in the prospectus (the \"Prospectus\") published by the Company in connection with the Placing and the Wressle Farm-ins as referred to in this announcement.\n6th July 2018\nUPLAND RESOURCES LIMITED\n(\"Upland\" or the \"Company\")\nBoard changes\n \nUpland Resources Limited (LSE: UPL), the oil and gas company actively building a portfolio of attractive upstream assets, announces that its non-executive chairman, Norza Zakaria, is stepping down from the role following his recent election as President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia.\nNorza will have ultimate responsibility for Malaysian participation in both the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, a role which will not leave him sufficient time to devote to Upland.\nBolhassan Di, currently one of the non-executive directors of the Company, will replace Norza as non-executive chairman. Bolhassan was previously an elected member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly from 1987 to 2011 and therefore has many years of political and commercial experience within the region. During his long service within the Sarawak State Assembly, Bolhassan held positions as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Assistant Minister in the Sarawak Chief Minister's Department and subsequently Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Communication. \nA graduate of the School of Engineering at Sheffield University, Bolhassan began his career in 1979 at Sarawak Shell Bhd. (a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc) where he gained project planning, design, construction, commissioning and start-up experience in offshore projects.
