Derisking potential from Geochemical work
United Oil & Gas PLC announced an independent study highlighting the potential of a Surface Geochemical Exploration survey at the Walton Morant Licence offshore Jamaica. The study suggests that successful piston coring could significantly increase the Geological Chance of Success (GCoS) across multiple prospects. Specifically, the GCoS at the Colibri prospect could increase to 32% from a previous estimate of 19%, and the Oriole prospect could see an increase to 21% from 13%. The study also anticipates similar GCoS uplift across the broader Walton and Morant basins, confirming a working petroleum system exists offshore Jamaica. A successful piston coring programme could significantly increase the Geological Chance of Success (\"GCoS\") across multiple high-impact prospects and leads by validating the presence of an active petroleum system in the licence area.\n \nKey Findings: Material Risk Reduction from Future Piston Coring Results\n \nThe summary conclusion is that successful piston coring would:\n§ Increase the GCoS at Colibri prospect to 32% - uplifting from the previous 19% estimate (GaffneyCline, 2020)1\n§ Raise the GCoS at the Oriole prospect to 21% from 13% (GaffneyCline 2020) 1\n§ Confirm that a working petroleum system exists offshore Jamaica that is already verified onshore\n§ Similar uplift in GCoS would be anticipated across the prospectivity of the broader Walton and Morant basins\nThese outcomes would substantially improve pre-drill confidence and de-risk the licence at scale.
