('Thales'). The GeoHelix GPS antenna will be retrofitted into military radios used widely by US and NATO forces. \n\nThales will incorporate the GeoHelix GPS antenna into a remote control unit which is designed to be fitted into the most widely fielded handheld multiband tactical radio in the world, the AN/PRC 148. The unit is designed as a body-mounted device that works under extreme conditions and enables the operator to control the radio without removing it from his or her back or waist. \n\nAs of late 2007, 100,000 AN/PRC-148 radios were in service, with nearly a third of these being used by the US Army. Sarantel's technology was selected because of its small size, rugged design and high performance in body-worn applications. \n\nSarantel is increasingly successful in selling its technology to higher-value military clients, whose primary concerns are robust design and exceptional accuracy, both of which are key features of the GeoHelix GPS antenna.  \n\nEnquiries:\n\n\n\n\n\nSarantel Group PLC\n\n\n01933 670 560\n\n\n\n\nDavid Wither, Chief Executive Officer \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSitkow Yeung, Finance Director\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJohn East & Partners Limited\n\n\n020 7628 2200\n\n\n\n\nJohn East/Simon Clements\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCollege Hill \n\n\n 020 7457 2020\n\n\n\n\nCarl Franklin/Adrian Duffield \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Sarantel\n\nSarantel is a leader in the design of high-performance miniature antennas for portable wireless applications.
