[{"type":"text","content":"\n Sarantel Group PLC\n13 February 2008\n\n\n13 February 2008\n\n\nSARANTEL GROUP PLC\n\n\nProduct and trading update\n\n\nSarantel (AIM: SLG, 'the Company'), the leading manufacturer of revolutionary\nfiltering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, has started delivering\nprototype production quantities of the world's smallest stand alone GPS antenna\nto a major Asian consumer OEM, as the Company continues to make good progress.\n\n\nSarantel's new antenna is the 3rd generation of GPS antennas developed and\nrequires 60 per cent. less volume (space) than the previous generation, while\nmaintaining comparable performance. Sarantel expects this new antenna to be\nembedded into a wide variety of small, highly integrated, lightweight hand\nportable mobile devices. It is 12mm long and 7.5mm in diameter.\n\n\nThe Board believes that this development coupled with an encouraging customer\npipeline positions the Company well for strong growth in its core GPS business.\n\n\nAs announced on 12 November 2007, the Company continued to reduce its cost base\nand the monthly amount of cash required as the order book builds. At 31 January\n2008 cash balances stood at approximately £1.4 million (of which £0.6m was held\nto secure leasing liabilities).
