[{"type":"text","content":"\n Sarantel Group PLC\n28 November 2006\n\n\n\nEmbargoed until 7am 28 November 2006\n\n Sarantel Group plc ('Sarantel')\n\n Sarantel and Sanmina-SCI Announce Asian Outsourcing Relationship\n\nSarantel, (AIM: SLG), a leading manufacturer and supplier of filtering antennas\nfor wireless devices is today pleased to announce that it has signed a\nmemorandum of understanding on outsource manufacturing and distribution with\nSanmina-SCI.\n\nSanmina-SCI, (NASDAQ: SANM) is a leading global electronics manufacturing\nservices (EMS) company based in San Jose, California which serves the fastest\ngrowing segments of the global Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) market.\n\nAccording to the MoU Sanmina-SCI will provide Sarantel with procurement,\nmanufacturing and logistics services from its Singapore facility. Additionally,\nSanmina-SCI will acquire some of Sarantel's manufacturing assets as the deal\nprogresses but they will not acquire any of Sarantel's buildings or employees.\n\nThis agreement ensures that Sarantel will be well positioned to meet market\ndemand as it grows. It also enables Sarantel to continue its drive to reduce\ncosts, increase competitiveness and to manufacture and distribute closer to its\nmany Asian based customers.\n\nDavid Wither, CEO of Sarantel commented, 'We are very excited by this\npartnership with Sanmina-SCI and are confident that they will provide Sarantel\nwith the credibility we need to further our relationships with major OEM\ncustomers.
