That distinction belongs to the Ontario League's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, declares The Hockey News in its commemorative magazine Dream Teams.\n\nDream Teams is a collector's edition produced by The Hockey News that ranks the top 50 NHL hockey factories from the Canadian Hockey League and U.S. colleges and universities. Our panel of judges studied the all-time rosters from all 108 active major junior and NCAA Div. 1 teams and established a lineup of six first-team all-stars from each organization, based on what they did in the NHL. Each hockey hot house's lineage was traced through the decades since the dawn of major junior hockey. Dream Teams also ranks the top 10 producers of NHL stars, from Moscow CSKA to Jokerit Helsinki to Frolunda.\n\n\"We tried to imagine how these six-player lineups – in their NHL prime – would fare against one another in a real game, provided they never grew fatigued,\" said project editor Brian Costello. \"The virtual matchups would be stunning.\"\n\nDream Teams is packed with photographs of NHL superstars in their amateur jerseys – Denis Potvin in his Ottawa 67's colours, Carey Price in his Tri-City Americans duds, Joe Sakic in his Swift Current sweater, Wendel Clark in his Saskatoon Blades garb, Brett Hull flashing Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs blue, and dozens more.\n\nDream Teams also catches up with some of these retired stars – Tom Lysiak in the heart of Georgia, Kevin Stevens bouncing back in Boston and Tim Kerr's successful second career in New Jersey, and many more.\n\nDream Teams is available on newsstands October 21st. \n\nAbout TVA GroupThe Hockey News is published by TVA Group, a ...
