[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTrading Symbol: JSP (TSX-V)\n\nCALGARY, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - Jasper Mining Corporation (the \"Company\") is\npleased to announce preliminary airborne geophysical results from the\nCompany's 100% owned Sawyer property, located east of Kootenay Lake,\napproximately 70 km west-northwest of Cranbrook, BC. The property comprises\napproximately 1,566 ha (3,870 acres) located immediately south of the\nSt. Mary's River. The property is underlain by sediments related to\nProterozoic strata of the uppermost Purcell Supergroup and lower Horsethief\nCreek Group intruded by a small Cretaceous age intrusion related to the\nBayonne Magmatic Suite. Previous work completed on these intrusions by the BC\nGeological Survey Branch suggested they may have intrusion-related gold\npotential.\nAn Aeroquest International (\"Aeroquest\") airborne geophysical survey was\nrecently completed on the Crawford property and the Company is in receipt of\nthe preliminary data, comprised of electromagnetic, magnetic and radiometric\ndata. Electromagnetic (\"EM\") data is expected to identify and delineate\npossible conductors, which may include faults and/or mineralized veins.\nMagnetics is expected to allow differentiation of intrusive phases from\nsedimentary strata hosting the intrusions and, therefore, allow identification\nof one possible control to mineralization. Finally, the radiometric portion of\nthe survey detects the response of three radioactive elements, specifically,\npotassium, thorium and uranium. Again, radiometrics may allow the Company to\ndifferentiate separate intrusive phases.\nThe magnetic data documents one large, and several smaller, magnetic\nanomalies on either side of a small east flowing tributary into Sawyer Creek.\nCretaceous intrusions correlated to the Bayonne Magmatic Suite are associated\nwith both strong magnetic anomalies over the corresponding intrusions (i.e Fry\nCreek Batholith) and magnetic haloes surrounding the intrusion (i.e. White\nCreek Batholith). Therefore, these anomalies are tentatively interpreted to\ncorrelate to the intrusion.\nThe Electromagnetic data document a number of small EM anomalies on both\nZ- and X-axis data, although the Z-axis data appears to document several\nlarger anomalies on the south side of the tributary, south of the magnetic\nanomalies and the interpreted location of the intrusive ph...
