[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTrading Symbol: JSP (TSX-V)\n\nCALGARY, June 26 /CNW/ - Jasper Mining Corporation (the \"Company\") is\npleased to announce commencement of an airborne geophysical program on the\nproperties comprising its Cretaceous Granite Project. In addition, the\nCompany's Memphis Creek property will be flown. The contract for flying the\nsurvey has been awarded to Aeroquest International.\nThe Cretaceous Granite Project consists of a total of eight properties,\nwhich are documented and/or interpreted to cover possible intrusive\nlithologies correlated to the Bayonne Magmatic Belt (BMB). The airborne survey\nincludes the Company's Baribeau, Crawford, Lydy, McFarlane, Rice, Sanca,\nSawyer and Storm King properties. The proposed survey is intended to obtain\nelectromagnetic, magnetic and radiometric data for the Crawford, Lydy,\nMcFarlane, Sanca, Sawyer and Storm King properties. With the exception of the\nStorm King property, granitic lithologies correlated to the Cretaceous have\nbeen documented to be exposed at surface. The Storm King property is located\nimmediately north of the northeast termination (at surface) of the Mt. Skelly\nPluton, another Cretaceous intrusive body.\nThe properties comprising the Cretaceous Granite Project are all\ninterpreted to have potential for intrusion-related gold, porphyry-style\nmolybdenum, polymetallic vein and/or skarn-type potential. Work published by\nthe BC Geological Survey Branch has previously been suggested to support\npossible intrusion-related gold potential on the Mt. Skelly Pluton/Sanca Stock\n(underlying the Sanca property) and the Storm King property (based on a\npossible As-Bi-W association).\nThe Sawyer property has been the focus of previous, limited exploration\nprograms to assess base metal mineralization immediately south of the Sawyer\nStock. In addition, several other base metal vein-types occurrences have been\nidentified in the immediately surrounding area (within three kilometres of the\nstock). A limited soil sampling program in 2005 returned anomalous base metal\nmineralization, as well as molybdenum and is proposed for subsequent follow-up\nwork in 2006.\nThe Lydy and McFarlane properties are located on either side, east and\nwest, of Eagle Plains Resources Ltd's Sphinx property (see their Press Release\ndated May 9, 2006). An inferred resource of 62,005,615 tonnes g...
