[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTrading Symbol: JSP (TSX-V)\n\nCALGARY, March 27 /CNW/ - Jasper Mining Corporation is pleased to\nannounce its 2006 field program. The drilling operations in British Columbia\ndepend on the rate at which the snow pack recedes to higher elevations.\nJasper intends to commence its field operations on its McFarlane/Lydy\nproperties as early as the middle of April 2006. The 2005 geochemical soils\nprogram documented a strong molybdenum anomaly in soils. It is the Company's\nintention to drill several diamond drill holes on this molybdenum anomaly.\nThis anomaly is adjacent to the Eagle Planes molybdenum discovery on its\nSphinx Project.\nIn early May, Jasper intends to drill the lower elevations of its Erie\nCreek property. The drill targets are indicated by anomalies shown on Jasper's\nairborne geophysical survey delivered to Jasper in early 2006. The drill\nlocations will be in the area of the previously reported mineralized lead zinc\nsilver surface shows on the property which coincides with the geophysics. A\nsecond drill target on the Erie Creek property is a vein indicated geophysical\nfeature which could be a continuation of the Second Relief gold mine, which\nlies just to the north east of Jasper's property.\nIn mid May the Company plans to drill its Isintok property. Jasper has\npreviously reported a documented resource estimate (though not 43/101\ncompliant) of 23 million tonnes of copper and molybdenum. The drill program\nfor the Isintok Property will be tailored to expand this potential resource.\nThis drilling will be based upon the detailed airborne geophysical survey\nreceived in late 2005 by Jasper.\nThe Company made a significant graphite discovery on its Vowell/Vermont\nCreek property in 2005, and intends to drill some deeper diamond drill holes\non the two graphite trends. Jasper will also test several anomalies that could\nindicate lead zinc silver deposits. Jasper has reported a lead zinc silver\nresource (though not 43/101 compliant) from Jasper's closed Ruth Vermont Mine\nwhich is situated on Jasper/Vowell (Vermont) Creek properties.\nAs soon as access and weather conditions permit, Jasper intends to obtain\nairborne geophysical data on its Irony Property and commence a diamond\ndrilling program on that property. Selkirk Metals has announced a significant\nhigh grade discovery on their Ruddock Creek ...
