Trustmark Contributes Over $1 Million to Support Mississippi’s Children and Youth

Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Methodist Children’s Homes of Mississippi, and Canopy Children’s Solutions are the recipients of these contributions.\n\n\n“Trustmark is committed to investing in our communities, and we are proud to support these three organizations in their work to help Mississippi children,” said Jerry Host, Chief Executive Officer of Trustmark. “Supporting local charitable organizations has been an integral part of our corporate philosophy for over 130 years. We are making a difference in communities across Mississippi through our support of these organizations.”\n\n\nOn September 24, 2019, Trustmark presented Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth (SCSCY) a check for $500,000 at its 31st Annual Bottom Line for Kids Benefit Dinner and Auction. Trustmark has been a proud partner of SCSCY since 2002 and has served as a sponsor for many of its programs and events, including the Sonny Fountain Memorial Golf Tournament. With Trustmark’s contribution, Southern Christian Services will be able to purchase a permanent facility to house its many services and programs throughout Mississippi.\n\n\nSouthern Christian Services is a faith-based, nonprofit organization founded in 1988 that provides children and family services throughout the State of Mississippi. Licensed by the Mississippi Department of Human Services and certified by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, SCSCY’s services include therapeutic foster care, adoption, group homes and a transitional living program.\n\n\nOn September 30, 2019, Trustmark made a $50,000 contribution to Methodist Children’s Homes of Mississippi (MCH). The contribution will be used as an initial investment to fund MCH’s Permanency Assessment Center. The center will provide care for those twelve to eighteen years of age in need of immediate assistance due to foster care placement disruption as well as victims of human trafficking.\n\n\nMethodist Children’s Homes of Mississippi has been providing c...
