[{"type":"text","content":"\n Tristel PLC\n09 August 2006\n\n\n Tristel plc\n\n Acquisition update\n\n\nTristel plc ('Tristel'), the healthcare business which uses its proprietary\nchlorine dioxide chemistry for infection control in hospitals, in water\ntreatment and the food processing industry, reports that the integration of\nTristel Technologies Limited ('TTL') (previously Vernagene Limited) is making\ngood progress and that the performance of the business is in line with\nmanagement expectations.\n\nTTL, the chlorine dioxide specialist focusing on water treatment and\ncontamination control in food processing, was acquired on 5th June 2006 at a\ncost of £1,000,000, funded by cash of £800,000 and a £200,000 loan provided by\none of Tristel's shareholders.\n\nProgress made with the TTL business and in Tristel's core activities in the\nhospital marketplace will enable Tristel to repay early the £200,000 loan from\ninternally generated cash flow.
