The new facility, which is Mercury Health's largest centre to\ndate, has a planned annual capacity of 6,500 daycase surgical procedures, 10,500\ndiagnostic investigations and up to 50,000 attendances at its minor injuries\nunit.\n\nThe Portsmouth centre is the third Mercury Health facility to open on time and\nto budget. Mercury Health's fourth centre, an elective orthopaedic centre in\nHaywards Heath, is on track for opening in July next year.\n\nAs previously announced, Mercury Health has been shortlisted for a number of\nregional contracts in the Phase 2 diagnostics procurement and has submitted\npreliminary bids for several schemes in the Phase 2 elective surgery\nprocurement.
