[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n\n\nTransense Technologies plc (the 'Company' or 'Transense')\n\n25th May 2010\n\nRe RFID Chile Field Trial Expansion\n\nTransense is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Translogik Limited\n('Translogik'), has agreed to expand the field trial for its Off-the-Road (OTR)\nTyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to an additional four systems, at the\nrequest of its South American distributor, RFID Chile. This is further to the\nRFID Chile distribution agreement announced on 30th April.\n\nThe initial field trial at a Chilean copper mine operated by the State mining\ncompany, Codelco, continues as planned, however, the OTR TPMS system will now be\nevaluated at additional locations run by a multinational mining company. The\nTranslogik OTR TPMS system incorporates a Dynamic Vehicle Information (DVI)\nsystem that allows critical vehicle information on tyre temperature and pressure\nto be displayed directly to the driver via an 'in-cab' display, whilst\nsimultaneously logging and uploading live data such as braking, fuel consumption\nand location to a central location via GPRS and GPS.\n\nGraham Storey, CEO of Transense, commented 'Our engineers recently returned from\nChile, having spent a week working with RFID Chile and Codelco, setting up our\nOTR TPMS systems on their Komatsu 830E dumper trucks. Initial feedback has been\nextremely positive and further presentations at other mines have resulted in a\nrequest for this additional paid trial, which will commence in one month's time\nwhen our engineers will return to the region. We are very pleased and encouraged\nwith the rapid progress we are making\".\n\nMax von Dessauer, CEO of RFID Chile, said \"There is a pressing need within the\nmining community in Chile and beyond, for exactly the product offered by\nTranslogik. Data capture and real-time solutions are a vital tool in the\nmanagement of mining assets. Minimising downtime is the all important goal in\nthis arena, and the ability of the Translogik DVI system to provide live data\nmonitoring no matter what the vehicle's location, make it an invaluable tool\ntowards that goal, with considerable value to the mining industry\".\n\n\n\n\n\nContacts:\nTransense Technologies PLC\nGraham Storey    01869 238380\nLaren Yeomans\n\nBrewin Dolphin Investment Banking\nNeil Baldwin   Â&...
