As of\n that date, production of the daily paper Le Nouvelliste, the only publication printed at the plant, will be transferred to the\n new Transcontinental Transmag plant in Montreal, which has benefited\n from over $60 million in investments over the past two years. Le Nouvelliste will thus be able to take advantage of the broad scope of printing\n options available at the state-of-the-art plant, which is part of\n Transcontinental's Canada-wide network of new hybrid presses. This\n network is expressly designed to meet the current and future needs of\n newspaper publishers and provides key services such as faster\n turnaround times, higher print and production capacity, colour on every\n page and the ability to print on coated newsprint.\n\n\n"In the past three years, Transcontinental has invested heavily in new\n print technology, greatly increasing production capacity," says Ted\n Markle, Transcontinental's Senior Vice-President, Newspaper Group,\n Printing Sector.
