Hirose Watanabe Appointed Non-Executive Director

Trio Holdings PLC 13 March 2000 Election of Director The Board of TRIO HOLDINGS PLC ('Trio') is pleased to announce that Mr Hirose Watanabe, Chairman of Nihon Tanshi Co Ltd of Tokyo ('Nihon'), has been elected a non-executive director. Nihon is the parent company of Nittan Capital Holding Limited of Hong Kong, which acquired 29.9% of the ordinary shares of Trio on 1st March, 1999.
