The event features more than two weeks of promotions and activities to recognize military service members, veterans and first responders. Depending on the location, highlights may include food trucks, live music, an opportunity to shop with local heroes, cook-offs and more. Each store will also provide special “Thank You” postcards that customers can fill out to express their gratitude to those who serve.\n\nOn First Responders Day (October 28) and Veterans Day (November 11), verified Hometown Heroes receive an exclusive discount for 10% off their purchase. Hometown Heroes is one of the few recognition programs that provides a discount to military service members, veterans and first responders with no limit on total savings and no brand exclusions.
