Total Telcom Announces Involvement In Purified Water Distribution Initiative

EDMONTON, Oct. 11 /CNW/ - TOTAL TELCOM INC. (TSX Venture: TTZ) announces
today the participation of its wholly owned subsidiary, ROM Communications
Inc. (ROM) in the deployment of commercial grade water purification equipment
developed for 3rd world distribution. Working with a US based Equipment
Manufacturer and Distribution Company, ROM has successfully developed and
tested its proprietary interface protocol to the water purification
equipment's onboard electronics. ROM will be supplying custom satellite
hardware, the communication link and will be responsible to monitor equipment
performance, collect and report on daily water production and usage. A
successful field test in the southern United States has led to the recent
deployment of a complete water purification system in Haiti for its final
evaluation before being made available for global distribution. Management
anticipates a significant contribution to its revenues commencing early to mid
2006 from this initiative.

ROM Communications provides "Web to Wireless" products and services
across North America for remote control, monitoring and asset management. ROM
is an authorized airtime reseller and hardware developer for satellite,
control channel and wireless IP Networks. The Corporation derives revenues
from the sale of proprietary and third party hardware and residual income from
ongoing monthly access fees.

Total Telcom owns, operates and manages state of the art long haul IP
Broadband Fiber Optic Networks, currently providing Bandwidth, Lit and Dark
Fiber-Optic Services to communities in Alberta and British Columbia
