(\"Sirit\") (TSX: SI), a leading\nprovider of radio frequency identification (\"RFID\") technology, announced that\nEPCglobal Inc has awarded its hardware certification and interoperability\nmarks to Sirit Inc. for its INfinity 510 UHF RFID reader. EPCglobal Inc is the\nnot-for-profit organization whose mission is to drive the commercial adoption\nof the Electronic Product Code (EPC) in global supply chains.\nThe certification mark signifies that hardware products have been tested\nand operate according to EPCglobal Inc. standards, such as the UHF Generation\n2 Air Interface Protocol standard ratified in December 2004.\nThe interoperability testing is also part of EPCglobal's hardware\ncertification program and demonstrates the ability of certified tags to work\nwith certified readers or printers/encoders. Sirit's INfinity 510 was one of\ntwo readers to receive the interoperability distinction at the EPCglobal\nEurope 2006 conference held last week in Dusseldorf, Germany.\n\"The INfinity 510, now in full production, is in the hands of customers\nboth in North America and in Europe for evaluation.
