The 2026 initiative focuses on eviction prevention and early intervention strategies to promote long-term housing stability for renters in low- to moderate-income communities.\n \n\n Renters today can face a myriad of compounding challenges, including missed recertifications, sudden income loss, lack of legal protection, and difficulty navigating lease terms. Through the Housing for Everyone program, the TD Charitable Foundation will award grants to select nonprofit organizations that deploy solutions intended to prevent eviction before a crisis occurs.\n \n\n “Housing remains a critical issue across our footprint and beyond, and a key step to mitigating the issue is providing early intervention tools and education to those most vulnerable,” said Paige Carlson-Heim, Head of Social Impact at TD Bank. “As we mark 20 years of the Housing for Everyone grant program, we recognize that lasting change in housing stability requires an ongoing commitment, and we are proud to support the organizations driving change through education, legal support, and more.”\n \n\n\n Housing For Everyone’s 20-year Evolution\n \n\n Since 2005, Housing for Everyone has provided more than $63 million to over 630 affordable housing initiatives.\n \n\n In this 20-year period, home prices and rents have increased by\n \n 65% and 20%\n \n respectively, while median household income saw almost no growth, underscoring the widening affordability gap.
